Mad and embarrassed about falling for high pressure sale
While cruising in Bahamas, we ported and Nassau. My mom was approached by a woman on the sidewalk, offering to let her try an anti-puffiness cream under her eyes.
This slowly escalated into a presentation of their medical device with four different light colors that claim to remove sunspots, sagging, puffiness, scars and wrinkles. The price started at $7500. Then once the sales person got our credit cards, another $3700 was added. There was so much commotion, and the females were just oohing and awing over us we were distracted, and really dont know how we left with this happening.
The sales person claimed to be a licensed dermatologist and the dermatologist to Mariah Carey.
I felt sick as soon as we left. Came home, googled and found all this information on the web about how theyre scamming people for more money than what they got out of us.
User's recommendation: Do not go into any store offering free anything because they hide behind other store names.
40 thousand dollars scammed.
User's recommendation: Stay away!!

Verified Reviewer |Scam! I need refund
llin Dubai MaI am writing to file a scam purchase with Tresor Rare/Avology/Lavelier, which I believe is a case of fraudulent sales tactics. I could never believe something like that could happen to me in Dubai Mall!
My ordeal began when I walked past a small kiosk (Lavelier ) in Dubai Mall on April 30th and was accosted by two women who urged me to try some eye cream.
Despite my initial refusal, they persisted and eventually convinced me to try a cream that had a glue-like texture. They then proceeded to ask me personal questions and showered me with compliments in an attempt to win my trust.
Despite being in a hurry, I found their approach friendly and pleasant, and they even gave me a free sample of a cream. When they offered to let me try their "amazing" bestselling scrub for free, I still declined. However, they continued to extol the virtues of their brand, claiming that they were more prestigious than even La Mer.
Regrettably, I ended up purchasing the scrub for QAR 580 ($159).
But, that was not the end of it.
They then convinced me to have a free facial and consultation with a woman named Yael, who they claimed was a famous figure in the U.S. beauty industry. They even told me how lucky I was that she happened to be in another store on the same day. Now, I was taken to a huge store on the second floor of Dubai Mall, and the session lasted nearly two hours.
Everything looked lavish and legit: posters of Mariah Carey, magazines with celebrities etcLike a huge luxury cosmetics shop. That shop was already of Tresor Rare brand.
During the consultation, Yael told me that she was not there to sell me cosmetics but a red LED device (Avology ) that she claimed had been developed by NASA!!! and had won a Nobel prize!!!. She asked me questions about my occupation, origin, length of stay in Dubai, and whether my skin was worth investing in.
She showed me pictures of celebrities like Mariah Carey using the product and, despite the store being spacious and the packaging impressive, there were no prices displayed. Because they want to show as if they do a big favour and discount to you. They show fake prices on their ipads as well.
At some point, she informed me that, since I was so nice, she would offer me a significant discount on the device. However, I later discovered that the prices on their website were exorbitant.
The deal was that I had to pay QAR 6039 ($1658) upfront and then QAR 5000 ($1373) more in comfortable installments whenever I could. The no-refund policy was never discussed, and she kept me distracted throughout the conversation. She then asked me to sign the bill, which I did without reading the fine print.
In addition, she opened the device, (which is not healthy and not even legitimate) saying that it was necessary for the lifetime warranty, and gave me the cream without its plastic seal. They do not to be able to return the product.
They prey on tourists, knowing that they are vulnerable to high-pressure sales tactics.
As I was leaving, I began to feel uneasy about the transaction. I had never spent that kind of money on cosmetics before, and I felt sick to my stomach. When I reached home, I started to make some research but that didnt come easy as there were 3 brand names from the same shop (Tresor Rare, Avology, Lavelier). The transaction was made from a completely different company name: SPRET TRADING LLC.
and found numerous scam reports, all describing high-pressure sales techniques, bait-and-switch tactics, false advertising, "special" offers, and "free" offers. I was outraged.
In addition, she has sent a photo to my WhatsApp of us together (that would further serve as proof of a happy customer).
I immediately tried to contact the woman who had sold me the device, but she mentioned the no-return policy and referred me to her boss, Ron. I couldn't find the original receipt in the bag either. He started mentioning that I could not return because of the non-refund policy and that he had checked CCTV and no one forced me to buy anything.
In the end, I felt that I had been taken advantage of and that their sales tactics were dishonest and manipulative.
I need a full refund and I do not need their products.
I didn't use them! STAY AWAY

Verified ReviewerDuped
On 1/26/21 in Cabo San Lucas we were accosted by a salesman on the street. Told me his name was Evgeny Glebov (Facebook) - the photos are NOT of him.
Maybe his boss. HOWEVER, I was duped into buying a $200 ($232 with tax) tube of face 'magic' to pull in the skin around my eyes. I now believe it was egg white or glue or prep H. AND after 2 uses the tube is empty.
Now I find complaints everywhere about this scam. It was for Venofye, which in it's real form is a great product. So they have taken the containers and put something 'fake' in them and then sold for high prices.
It came on my credit card as Hermetise. I have canceled the transaction but fear since it was out of the US, they will not be able to refund my money.
Just be careful!! The Israeli sales force is out there!!!!!!

Scammed
American Express sided with the franchise owner of Tresor Rare in La Jolla, CA. I even sent them pictures of the Grover's Disease I developed on my neck and my stomach area from the use of two of the products. Hadas Fisher (the franchise owner) nor American Express...
I was waiting for my partner who was in a store down the street, so I thought I would take a few minutes while waiting for him and try the product. The sales representative was very complimentary while performing the demonstration. My partner saw that I was in the store as he walked by and decided to join me. The sales rep immediately started to discuss an eye cream that could remove bags and circle under the eyes and applied the cream to my eyes first and then got my partner to agree to try the cream as well.
The cream created an immediate tightening feeling of the skin under our eyes. She advised us that the creams were made of all natural products and over time could remove the bags and circles under our eyes with continued use over a long period of time. When asked about the cost of the cream, the sales rep indicated the tube of cream would last approximately 6 months using the cream twice a week, and cost $700 per tube. We decided to think about and left the store.
Later that day we decided to go back to the store and purchase the eye cream because the cream did appear to improve the appearance of the area under our eyes. When returning to the store to purchase the eye cream, I was introduced to Simon, their “Skin Care Expert”. Simon proceeded to offer me a free facial and indicated the process would take about an hour to perform. The facial involved several different steps with a different cream or serum for each step.
The entire time Simon was performing the facial he was very complimentary and was really pushing the Tresor Rare products as a safe and natural alternative to a face lift or plastic surgery. Simon talked of his many clients all over the country and showed me pictures of them that were stored on his cell phone. He told me numerous times that using Tresor Rare products consistently would eliminate the need for any future plastic surgery and also be much less expensive than having a face lift. Also during the facial, Simon mentioned that he traveled all over the country to visit his clients from time to time to help them with the use of the various Tresor Rare Skin Cream products.
The facial Simon gave me did make my skin feel and look better, but the cost of the recommended creams, serums, and laser devices was exorbitant at $20,493.00. Simon indicated that he could offer a deep, deep discount and get the price down to around $8,000 and kept comparing the discounted price to the price of plastic surgery and the benefits of their creams and serums being “all natural” and non-evasive like plastic surgery. My partner and I took some time to discuss Simon’s offer and he and I decided, based on the information Simon had provided and his claims that the Tresor Rare products offered a non-surgical solution to improved skin, I would go ahead with the purchase of the various creams, serums, and treatments Simon recommended for me. My total purchase came to $9367.78, which was made up of $8614.61 of the skin care products that would provide the alternative to a face lift and $753.17 of the eye cream to address the bags and circles under my eyes.
Since we live in Tampa, Simon shipped all the creams and serums to our home. Simon indicated that he would be available to assist with any questions I might have in regards to the proper use of the creams and that there would be instructions included in the shipment. When the shipment arrived there was a small booklet which showed all the different Tresor Rare products with very limited instructional use on each of their products. Simon had also sent an e-mail with instructions that contradicted the limited information in their product information booklet.
I sent Simon several e-mails asking him to clarify questions I had on the proper use of their products, but received even more confusing answers to the questions I was asking. All I wanted was clear instructions in writing from Simon on how and when I should be using each of the creams. Simon did not want to put the instructions in writing and kept wanting to talk over the phone to provide the instructions. I felt it was important to have proper written instructions on the use of their products and also felt after making a $9400 investment that this was not a lot to ask for from Tresor Rare.
With the limited instructions provided, I went ahead and began to use what Tresor Rare and Simon claimed to be “all natural” products”. Shortly after a few applications of the various creams I started to experience very dry and flaky skin on my face and also developed Grover’s Disease on my neck and abdomen from applying the various creams they recommended. I contacted Simon via e-mail and text and included photographs of the issues I was experiencing from the use of their products. I received a response from Simon’s co-worker, Gia, indicating she understood the issues I was having and that she would have “Customer Service” or Simon contact me to resolve the issue.
I never heard from either, but was contacted by Hadas Fisher, the franchise owner of the La Jolla, California Tresor Rare location where I purchased the products from Simon. Hadas’s solution was to offer different creams to which she sent to me. After multiple phone calls and texts with Hadas I became more and more aggravated with their lack of attention to the issues I was having from the use of their products. I became so disappointed and aggravated that I requested to return all products and asked for a full refund.
At this point I was told that they had a NO REFUND policy. This was not stated anywhere that we could see in the store, nor were we told of this policy when the purchase was made. We did find the NO REFUND policy in very small print on the bottom the purchase receipt.
As I stated above, this purchase from Tresor Rare was made on 8/25/18. My ongoing back and forth correspondence with their various representatives ended on 11/29/18 due to my complete frustration with the unethical and unprofessional tactics their representatives conveyed toward the problems I was having from using their products.
During this three month process I did quite a bit of investigating into Tresor Rare through online searches and found many other victims of this unscrupulous company. There were many, many stories similar to mine where Tresor Rare representative used extremely high pressure sales tactics in their promotion of their “all natural” products.
The other victims experienced skin related issues from the use of their products and Tresor Rare’s solution was to send them different products to try, which never worked either. Almost all have been refused refunds from Tresor Rare.
