High pressure sales
This place is horrible and I’m so pissed at myself for falling for the manipulative sales practices. They play on your vanity and insecurities and are relentless.
They bait and switch, up sell you, feed you Champaign. Make false claims about the products.
I could go on and on. When I got home and googled them and found out that they are basically a scam and there are so many horrible reviews, I contacted customer service and got no response.
Call Police and Cancel Credit Card
The absolute worst shopping experience I have ever had! The Maui Tresor Rare used lies, misinformation and extremely aggressive sales techniques to unload their inferior, overpriced products.
While their products are always overpriced, you are constantly baraged with different prices for the same product and package "deals" offered to exploit you further. The salesman who gave me a free sample and first waited on me was ok. He applied an under eye "serum" that I said I would buy. I was shocked when I was presented with a $700.
credit card receipt to sign. By that point I just wanted out of there, so I signed, grabbed the bag and headed for the door. That is when things went from bad to worse. I was told the owner wanted to meet me and I was instantly introduced to Owen Reich, a greedy, morally and ethically bankrupt con artist.
He offered to give me a free facial and see what he could do about the $700. price. I have serious back and neck problems and while clumsily trying to get down from their tall chair, my back started to spasm. I had to sit down so I agreed to go in the "spa" room for my "free" facial.
He coated my face with something and delivered a rapid-fire sales pitch. He kept asking me how old I thought he was. When I said I didn't care and didn't want to play a guessing game, he kept asking me in a louder and louder voice. I finally guessed and he was unhappy that I thought he was that old and claimed to be much younger.
I asked to see his driver's license to confirm but he ignored the request and talked faster. He was pushing an expensive skin tightening product that could be used on your face/neck and body. He said he used to be fat because he had been addicted to McDonald's and this helped him get rid of cellulite. I asked to see a picture of him fat, but he said he didn't have one.
I asked him what he ate and he couldn't come up with any menu names. He finally removed the facial cream, turned on a promotional video and left. I was sitting in an electric powered spa chair in an almost horizontal position and my back was slowly relaxing so I watched the video. The video gave no substantive information and it was just to get you to purchase the newer, more expensive products and a lifelong $10,000.
per year beauty plan with products. The video ended and I waited for a few minutes for someone to come back. When no one did, I tried to leave but the chair would not work and I could not get out! I finally started yelling for help.
When Owen finally showed up, I had to endure another hard sales pitch before he knelt down and plugged in the chair! I was in pain and exhausted and agreed to spend $2000. including the $700. spent previously.
When I was in the main sales area I warned 2 other customers about their sale practices and they left. Owen was furious and complained I had cost him money. Then while writing down product directions at his insistence, I signed for the return of the $700. and for the new products which were to total $2000.
It was $2700. but I thought it was without the credit applied. I exited the store, walked a few steps and a man noticed my Tresor Rare bag and told me the place was a scam and I should cancel my credit card because they were known for repeatedly over billing and randomly appling monthly charges for the life long beauty plan. When I got home from Maui, I took the products out of the bag and only the $700.
charge return was in there. When my credit card statement came I was billed $2700. As if that wasn't enough, the product instructions I'd written were nothing like the instructions on the box. I was told the products would last a year but that was not according to the instructions on the box.
When demonstrating the product on me, they had used even more than the recommended amount. When I tried the eye serum at home, it did not feel the same and I doubt it is the same product. After applying, the skin around my eyes became inflamed and burned. I had repeatedly asked if the product was FDA approved and he just kept saying it was safe.
I never opened the other 4 products which turned out to be two sets of almost identical products. I want to return the unopened products and get a full refund. I expect my request to be denied as no one online was able to get a refund or ANY satisfaction. I canceled my credit card because even if they didn't additionally charge me, the credit card company said they sounded vindictive and may have already sold my information.
I filed a fraud claim and plan on contacting the police if we can not reach an agreement. Considering their history with unsatisfied customers and their Better Business Bureau C- rating, I am not optimistic.
Preferred solution: Full refund
HOW DO WE GET THE REFUND??
Tresor Rare scam South Molton Street London
Last tuesday I was passing by in South Molton st as I do every week but this time one the sales assistant that usually give out samples hooked me. She stopped me offering a sample bag of some kind of face cream and asked me what kind of skincare regime I use.
Since my skin is problematic I mentioned to her the name of two well known brand that I normally use and I guessed she thought that I was a good prey since I was ready to pay a good amount of money for my skin (even if the products I normally use cost 1/10 of theirs!) . Mari, this is her name (and from the accent I would say Spanish or Italian) asked me to wait and rushed inside the shop. I thought she was going to get some samples but then she called me in and that was the start of my misadventure. She makes me sit and presents me two products, a scrub/exfoliant and a eye serum.
She rubs the exfoliant on my right hand and start talking about dead skin and how this scrub will get rid of it. By rubbing, the exfoliant comes off in small particles of dirt, she says it's my dead skin coming off. She then applies the eye serum under my left eye and it feels sticky. She offers me a mirror and believe it or not I can really see the difference from one eye to the other.
She talks about this serum being much better than Botox because it works on the dna and the muscular memory, so basically by applying it regularly the skin will tighten and tighten by itself. She tells me there is an offer on those products if I buy them. When I ask how much are they, she says 390 for the two, I was shocked and told her I could not pay that much so she starts saying "look, I can see you are a good customer so I want you to have these products because you deserve them", she went off to the till and start making calculations and comes back with the calculator saying that she can give me a good price and lowers the price - I don't remember exactly how much. I am still saying I cannot pay that amount and she explains that the products come in big size so they will last up to 2 years so she makes another calculation to prove me that it is an investment as I won't need to buy any other skincare for two years.
She asks me if I do facials and throws in a voucher for a free facial which is normally worth 150. She lowers again the price for the two products and it becomes 250. As I say no again, she starts throwing everything in, first she swaps the 150 facial voucher for the 300 one which includes a gold mask application (!), she tells me how much I deserve this and she says she will give me this amazing offer because the manager is not in the store but I have to " zip" my mouth. Seeing me being reluctant but somehow interested (at that point I was in a state of confusion/euphoria that many other customer have described) she throws in the last offer "only for me", she throws in two facials worth 150 each and she says she will apply the gold mask anyway but it should be a secret between us (!
my best friend!) . At that stage I said yes, and I still cannot believe I did it as I do not possess all that money to spend on beauty products. She throws in a lot of samples and I split the payment between two cards. Off I went.
As other victims said, after a couple of hours I left this state of trance and felt suddenly like I was waking up from a dream. I instantly googled the company name to find out if they were a reliable and well known company and if the products were really worth such a crazy price and there I found all this terrible reports from different part of the world. Since I read that there are issues about their refund policy I panic and immediately write to the customer service as adviced on their official website. Then I go straight back to the shop to face them with my renewed sanity.
As she sees me entering the shop, Mari startles and her face pales. She asks me how she can help me, my best friend again, and I sharply say I changed my mind and I want to return the products. She asks me why and I said I had a look online and apparently their products are not what she says and I do not want to use them on my skin. She becomes very defensive and goes in a corner with someone which appears to be a sort of manager and they ask me to sit and that he will deal with my issue.
Everything looks weird as there is a lot of odd looking back and forth among the sales assistant and Mari seems very upset and mumbles " look, I don't know what you have read ". The manager calls me and I just repeat the same. He mumbles that the products are worth what they cost but I am pretty straight to the point and I guess my fortune was that I said I had already wrote to their customer service to request the refund. To my relief he asks me my cards to proceed with the refund and I get the receipt of the transaction.
I got my money back into my account but also called the Standard Agency to report them.
I cannot believe there are reports dating back to 2011 and they are still there selling their scam with their very malicious techniques! I cannot get rid of this feeling of something really strange that happened and even if I got my money back would like to see something done to them.
Pissed just a refund for the products and services that I bought
Does not work like it did in store..
Tresor Rare Bahamas is a scam machine
I visited the Bahamas location in June, 2018. I, too, was lured inside.
Too trusting as I was sweet talked into making a VERY LARGE purchase. So large my credit cards were very unwilling to do the transaction. I managed to do it, with the exception of one item. For that item Tresor Rare wanted $814.
and change. They sent me a bill via e-mail. On June 19, the day I received the, I paid it through PayPal as they requested. Lio was supposed to call me that day to arrange for shipping of the item.
It is now September. He has never called.
I have written to the customer service person. No response.
It is curious to me that the Bahamas police hasn't shut them down by now to protect their tourist visitors.
All I can say is DON'T GO THERE!!!!!!!!!
- Product as used in the store
- Way the product felt and worked in the store
- High pressure sales tactics
Preferred solution: Full refund
Ripped off and won’t return money
Tresor Rare in Honolulu
I was walking in the Ala Moana mall when a sales girl approached me and suggested to try some of their products. Well, it is a standart thing and I agreed.
the shop was rather small and I never heard of this company before. The sales girl was describing how great is their eye cream '. She was gradually becoming very personal and was saying how I have a great skin and cute face, so I should take good care of it. She was asking a lot of personal questions, about my work, my relationship etc etc.
Then she said 'our product is not cheap, but it is really great, and you don't have to pay the full price, I will give you a 40% discount'. I was not convinced yet, so she talked more and more. She said that she really likes me, and she will offer me a great deal and also give me some kind of face peeling gel, face cream and smth else for free if only I get the eye cream (with a discount). I was suspicious because it seemed too good offer and asked if I can come back later (planning to check the company online).
Sakes girl said no, this is a one time offer. I was so brainwashed at the time that I agreed!!! I feel really *** about it now, but is was really like my brains switched off for a while. I paid 400$ and left.
On my way back my head became clear and I started to regret my decision to buy. I went online and checked Tresor Rare!!! Second OMG! So many scam reports!!!!
I went back the next day with a check and a bag full of unopened products. I was sooo pissed at the time and demanded a refund. Surprisingly, they agreed to it without much argument, maybe I looked scary or something. I got my refund check, left their *** products with them amd left.
By the way, the most important here is that their product really suck! The eye cream sales girl tried on me had a fast tightening effect and lightned the undereye area a bit, but i looked in the morrow when I was home -the cream was cracking and making dry flakes under my eyes.
No cream does it! It is only made to have a fast makeup kind of effect in the store!!!
- Pushy sales
- High pressure sales tactics and deceitful marketing
- Bad product
High Pressure Sales -
On August 8th I was given a complimentary facial (after buying more than $500 worth of products). The "skin specialist" kept telling me about all of the gifts she was giving me.
I had no idea what the product was or what the product was suppose to do, nor the cost of the product. She talked so fast I had to ask her several times to slow down - I could not understand what she was saying.
She never slowed down nor fully explained what she was trying to sale me or what she was "giving me". It wasn't until I was checking out that she presented me with a receipt more than a yard long.
- Being pressured into purchase then ignored
- Being interrupted when minding my own business
Preferred solution: I will return all of the products - gifts included -all unopened
Misleading Sales Technique
Scam, No Refund. Multiple FDA Violations
I was walking down King Street to Marion Square and was accosted by Vanessa and asked to step in the store. That was my first huge mistake. She sold me $6,000 year's worth of products with claims of structural changes to the skin (lifting, increasing density to skin layers, reduction of wrinkles, etc.) that would last up to 10 years. I was not certain if I would be reactive to the ingredients so I did not use the products as I needed to ask her some questions. When I returned for the first facial, I was told that a "doctor" flew in from LA just for me! He told me that what Vanessa sold me would not be effective and I needed to buy $15,000 more product that would work on the neck. I told Eli that I did not have the money.
They did not tell me that there was a no return policy. After my mind cleared from all the pressure and I could consider what happened, I cancelled three days later and returned the unopened products. Eli said NO REFUND and pointed to a black no return sign on a black counter front in the back of the store. I never saw it when I stood against it as they ran my credit card and debit card when Eli emptied my bank accounts for this $21,000 treatment. I had to borrow money from my brother then to pay my other bills. Eli smirked that he won, I lost. I asked the store manager, Giovanni for a refund, and was told that I was bull ***
Do a search for "Charleston Officials Cracking Down on Aggressive Sales Tactics on King" which is what I experienced not only on the sidewalk, but inside. https://www.postandcourier.com/business/charleston-officials-cracking-down-on-aggressive-sales-tactics-on-king/article_c637bb40-cf98-11e7-a716-1fcb096cf249.html
Customer service is a joke. They simply victimize the customer again. These products are NOT FDA approved. I asked Vanessa for studies to prove that the treatment lasts for 10 years. I am waiting for the research. TOURIST, WALK ON BY, don't go inside. RUN!
Very rude salesman kicked me out of store
Today (August 6, 2018) in Las Vegas I walked by the store in a casino. A guy said “take this free product “ I said “no thank you “ to which he responded, you’re a tough cookie “ then put the product in my hand.
Before I knew it, he had a product on his finger and wanted to show me how fast the bags under my eyes would disappear. He proceeded to apply the product under my eyes while I patiently allowed him to. He then showed me a mirror which did show my lines faded compared to the other side not treated. I was fairly impressed, but not convinced.
I had argued a few points back that he had come up with answers for, all while showering me with compliments on everything but my skin. I convinced him to do the other eye. I didn’t see a whole lot of change, and said as much. He tried to convince me that both eyes looked better.
I was seriously thinking of purchasing the item, and was about to say “ I can’t buy it until I talk to my husband “ As soon as the words “I can’t buy it” came out of my mouth, he interrupted me and said, “then don’t buy it! You’re wasting my time, so why don’t you leave?!” I said “ok” and got up and left! He went from showering me with a ton of compliments to yelling at me, and being as rude as anyone I’ve ever encountered in a store! And guess what?!
His name was Giovanni or very similar to that! I’ve seen two other negative reviews from different parts of the world with guys with that same name!
What the heck?! A major scam!
Vultures waiting for youuuuu

I will join in on a class action suit as well!!
I bought tresor because the salesman was very persistent and he put a little on my eyebrow and he looked at the difference. but the next day I gave the product and it did not work I start believing that the sample I used was different and I would like to get my money back because the product is very expensive.
I had the same experience with Gold Elements (same company), and I just filed a complaint with the BBB and the FTC. I hope others will do the same.
This company is unscrupulous and needs to be shut down.
I look forward to hearing soon that all arms of this sham business have been forced to close. I am definitely interested in a class action lawsuit against this group.
I feel the same. I am totally interested in a Class Action law suit against them.
I feel the same. I am completely Interested in a Class Action law suit against them. Interested?
I feel the same, they just gave me a bunch of lame excuses why they can't process my return. I tried to return the very next day, they told me to wait for my products in the mail since they shipped already.
Apparently, shipped products cannot be returned regardless that they were unopened. I'm out $6,400.
I'm would like to pursue this further and join a class action lawsuit. How do I get started filing complaints about them?
